I go by Olive and I’m a native French speaker living in the Netherlands.
As a language learning lover, I met a lot of inspiring teachers from all around the globe that led to a big decision : getting a Master’s degree in Teaching French as a foreign language. And here I am!
I had been giving private classes from my high-school years, but since graduating in 2021, I became a full time online teacher. I helped hundreds of students reaching their goals, whether it was short or long term, gain confidence speaking French or pass exams.
Over the years, I developed a unique style that I apply to my teaching and which you can see on this website : creative, colorful and fun.

Lesson types and prices
Lessons take place on Zoom. You will receive a link to my Zoom class by email. Payments have to be made in euros using PayPal or direct bank transfer.
All levels are welcome, even total beginner!

For kids and teens lessons, I wide range or resources to make students practice the language in various ways.
Younger kids will have a shared Canva document. Students aren’t not given a pre-made lesson to learn. During each class, we build a uniquely illustrated lesson together. Secondly, I create a personalized and interactive PowerPoint based on what we study. Lastly, there will be interactive PowerPoint summary lessons based on the textbook Les Loustics. To complement the themes we study during class, I often do reading and play time (board games and/or video games) depending on the level and likes of the students to use French in a practical and natural way.
Teenagers will have a shared Google document where all the notes from the lessons will be taken. I encourage students to write on the document (homework, diary notes, questions, Duolingo screenshots etc.) to practice written French. Depending on the goal (hobby or school), activities may vary : textbook study (Adomania or Explore), reading articles, conversation practice, grammar, games etc.

You can choose the type of lesson you want : conversation (casual or based on an article or a video), textbook study (Cosmopolite, Alter Ego, Communication progressive, Grammaire progressive) or a mix of both. You can always ask to change the resources we use.
You will be given a shared Google document where I can notes of sentences, vocabulary and exercises. I will always encourage you to write questions you have between lessons, sentences or texts to practice the written language.

Are you preparing the DELF exam? I can help you!
Usually, the hardest parts are the written and oral productions. They will be the focus of our lessons, which will be a mix of mock exams and revision of the most needed grammar and vocabulary of the level you target. I use the textbook series ABC DELF to find typical subjects, but I’m open to any other textbook you might be more familiar with.
You will have a shared Google document where I will take notes during the lessons. It is also where you will do the written exam practice so I can correct it and add grammar exercises based on your mistakes.
